My approach to individual therapy is warm, structured, and genuinely human. I bring both the rigor of evidence-based methods EMDR, CBT, ego state work, mindfulness and the kind of real therapeutic presence that makes it possible to do the deeper work. Still have questions? That’s completely normal especially if you’ve never been to therapy before, or if a past experience left you feeling uncertain. We’ve answered the most common questions below, and you’re always welcome to reach out directly.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or like something from your past is affecting your present — individual therapy is worth exploring. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit. Many people come to therapy simply because they want to understand themselves better and live with more ease. A free consultation is a great way to find out if we’re a good fit.
That depends entirely on you your goals, your history, and how you respond to the work. Some people find meaningful relief within a few months. Others work with me longer for deeper processing of complex trauma or grief. We don’t operate on a rigid timeline. What matters is that we’re making real progress together, and that you feel it.
Aligned Mind Therapy is a private pay practice, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. However, I can provide a superbill (receipt) that you can submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I also offer a benefits check tool to help you understand what your plan may cover. Many clients find that their OON benefits cover a meaningful portion of the cost.
Yes I offer both in-person and virtual sessions. Virtual therapy is available to clients in any state where I am licensed. Many clients find that the flexibility of telehealth actually makes it easier to show up consistently, which supports better outcomes over time.
